Generations of Love

Jeanette & Joe’s wedding had the perfect fall setting, and it helped that Jeanette’s parents own a farm with an apple orchid and pumpkin patches. Jeanette got ready at her parents’ home, which is located on the outer edge of the farm. There is much family history there, including her parents’ names carved into the bark of a tree in the front yard. The ceremony took place not to far away, and after the “I Dos” were said, we made our way back to the farm for portraits. It was a beautiful day, with a soft breeze and the scent of freshly fallen apples on the ground. With our friend Dave Williams from Dvideography (video) by our side we were able to capture wonderful moments and I’m sure his video will be amazing (It always is!). We timed the lighting perfect, too… After the farm, we headed to the Manor House for the reception. Amy Miller and the girls produced a wonderful evening and the Manor House was glowing under the dusk sky, which really made a pretty backdrop for the reception.
“How To” Love a Tiger

This fall Tony and I had the wonderful pleasure to photograph a Tiger… not just any Tiger, but Caroline Tiger! Caroline is an author of several “How To” books.
With Caroline being a writer, and Jon a lawyer, it seemed only fitting for the wedding to take place in the historic building of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, locally known as PAFA. With some help from the fabulous Kendall Brown of Eclatante Design the evening was transformed into a celebration of Love and Art! When Jon saw Caroline for the first time in one of the side rooms at the Union League, it was breathtaking! Jon was all smiles! Before heading to the ceremony, we decided to make a quick stop into the “Naked Chocolate Cafe” on Walnut Street. With no time to spare we quickly headed across town! The ceremony filled with beautiful music from a string quartet, the moment of saying “I Do” seemed to stand still! The New York Times had sent their own writer to document the night. The Times writer gently captured “the moments in between the moments” with the grace of her pen. It was wonderful to see their story printed for the world to share! I love how the images turned out!

Cold Winter’s Day
To view some of my favorite images from Jenny and Bill’s wedding then please view this link: Jenny & Bill’s wedding.
Jenny and Bill traveled to Philadelphia from Manhattan for the wedding of their dreams. The cold weather, on December 6, did not keep them indoors for their wedding photos! The ceremony took place right after dusk, on a crisp winter night just before Christmas – There was peacefulness in the air. Jenny and Bill were willing to sneak away for a couple of images right before the ceremony to take advantage of the light. It was beautiful! After the vows were said, snowflakes filled the sky and despite the 29 degree temperature we all took to the streets of Philadelphia for some night shots. The snowflakes seemed to dance around the newlyweds and glisten like diamonds. We made our way into the Union League for their breathtaking reception. It was really wonderful to photograph and capture the little moments of Jenny & Bill’s wedding!
On and Off Stage

The Wedding of Jen & Leo was right out of a movie script!
The weather, on the beaches of Jersey, performed perfectly and Leo hit all of his marks!
Okay, so I was spoiled in more ways than one… Jen had an appearance on the TV series CSI and recently finished a part in a feature film releasing next year – So it was no surprise that she was at ease in front of the camera. Leo, a music producer for CMT records and a talented musician, entertained his guest with a solo performance like nothing I had ever heard before! It was a real treat. It was truly special to hear Leo toast his new bride at the reception, surrounded by their Family & Friends!

Love Meant to Be…
Sylvina & Mark wed September 26th 2008 in Philadelphia. Sylvina & Mark had dated each other years prior with as much passion and love as now, but the timing then was not meant to be! A number of years later, Mark moved back to Philly and he was residing at the Four Seasons. While out and about, walking the streets, their paths crossed again. This time was the right time! Sylvina and Mark met for coffee later that day & realized that fate had taken hold. It seemed only fitting that the reception would take place at the Four Seasons with the ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul. The only thing missing from Sylvina’s wedding was her beloved father. A beautiful photograph of Sylvina and her dad adorned the entry into the reception & a special tango was danced with her brother in honor of their loved father.

A Style All Their Own!
The wedding of Kirah and Kyle was filled with laughter, love, flat tires & crazy first dances…! This was a first for us: We were following Kirah, from Philadelphia to the ceremony, when the Vintage Rolls Royce had to pull over because of a flat! After a quick switch of transportation, Kirah made it to the church with time to spare. Kyle’s eyes filled with tears of joy as he saw his beautiful bride coming through the light-filled doors of Villanova Cathedral. With the reception wonderfully planned by Mark Kingsdorf (Queen of Hearts), we knew it was going to be an evening like no other! The room Mark created at The Philadelphia Country Club was exactly what Kirah had wanted! Kirah and Kyle took to the floor with a first dance that surprised their guests. They busted out into their own choreographed dance rendition to “Apple Bottom Jeans”!

A Couple of Cupcakes
Avery and Doug were married at the Four Seasons, Philadelphia, a couple of weeks ago. Prior to the wedding, I always sit and chat with my couple and brainstorm about different locations. While talking with Avery, I came across a second love of hers, cupcakes (Doug being her first love of course)… It seemed only fitting that on the day of their wedding we stopped at a wonderful new cupcake shop, “Brown Betty Petite!” We had so much fun and both Avery and Doug had smiles from ear to ear!
What’s a Little Rain…
Here are some images from the Wedding of Anna & Kerry.
Anna & Kerry were married September 6th, on her parents’ beautiful estate, on the Main Line. Anna’s father had been hard at work in preparation of his only daughter’s wedding for over a year. The backdrop a newly cleared tree grove for the ceremony and cocktails by the pool. Hurricane Hanna had slightly different plans!
As the steady rain began to fall, Anna’s home began to fill with the sounds of her wedding day. The sounds of her girlfriends’ chatter in different languages and the humming of hairdryers.
The tapping of the rain on the tent sounded in symphony with the string quartet. The room filled with friends from around the globe and the day was beautiful! Anna and Kerry partied the night away with three wedding cakes and hundreds of paper lanterns floating overhead. When all came to a close you realize; What is a little rain when you are in the arms of the one you love!
